Lucen is a workspace for designing, refining, and sharing prompts. This policy sets out what you can and can’t do with it, written to keep the platform useful, safe, and trustworthy for everyone who builds here.

Overview
This Usage Policy governs your access to Lucen, including the prompt editor, Blocks, the Library, sharing, and any connected interfaces. It works alongside our Privacy Policy and your subscription terms. By using Lucen, you agree to the practices described here.
We’ve kept the language plain on purpose. Where a term has a precise legal meaning in your subscription agreement, that meaning controls.

Who this applies to
This policy applies to everyone who uses Lucen, whether on a free, individual, or team plan:
Account holders: the person or organization that owns the workspace.
Members & collaborators: anyone you invite into a shared workspace or prompt.
Recipients: anyone who opens a prompt, Block, or Library item you choose to share publicly or by link.
If you use Lucen on behalf of an organization, you confirm you’re authorized to accept this policy for it, and that its members will follow it too.

Acceptable use
Lucen is built for prompt engineering work. You’re welcome to use it to:
Draft, version, and refine prompts for your own products, research, and workflows.
Build reusable Blocks and organize them in your Library.
Test, compare, and iterate on prompt behavior across supported models.
Share work with teammates and collaborate on shared prompts.
Export your prompts and content to use elsewhere.
Your work is yours. Prompts and Blocks you create stay under your ownership. Using Lucen doesn’t transfer rights in your content to us.

Prohibited use
To keep Lucen safe and dependable, you may not use it to create, refine, store, or distribute prompts intended to:
Cause serious harm: including content that facilitates violence, weapons development, or attacks on critical infrastructure.
Exploit or endanger minors in any way.
Deceive or defraud: phishing, impersonation, scams, or coordinated disinformation.
Generate malware or otherwise compromise systems, networks, or accounts.
Harass, threaten, or target individuals or groups, including hateful content.
Violate others’ rights: infringing intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.
Circumvent safety systems of Lucen or any connected model provider.
You also may not probe, scrape, overload, or reverse-engineer the platform, or resell access to it, except where the law expressly permits and your plan allows.

Your prompts & content
You’re responsible for the prompts, Blocks, and other content you put into Lucen, and for the outputs you generate with them. Before relying on or publishing anything, review it, model outputs can be inaccurate, and you remain accountable for how they’re used.
Licenses you grant us
To run the service, you grant Lucen a limited license to host, process, and display your content, strictly to operate and improve features you use, such as syncing your Library or rendering a shared prompt. We don’t use your private prompt content to train foundation models. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
Content shared publicly
If you publish a prompt or Block to a public link, you’re responsible for ensuring you have the right to share it and that it complies with this policy.

Sharing & collaboration
Lucen makes it easy to bring others into your work. With that comes a few responsibilities:
Only invite people you intend to give access to the prompts in a workspace.
Share links thoughtfully: a public link can be opened by anyone who has it.
Respect the access level you’re given; don’t attempt to view or edit content beyond it.
When you remove a collaborator, ensure any sensitive material is rotated if needed.
Workspace owners can manage and revoke access at any time from settings.

Fair use & limits
Plans include usage allowances that keep the service fast and fair for everyone. The current shape of those limits:
Forge runs
Each plan includes a monthly allowance of prompt forges. Studio plans run unlimited within fair-use thresholds.
Concurrency
A cap on simultaneous runs prevents any one account from degrading shared capacity.
Storage
Library and Block storage scales with your plan. Archived items don’t count against active limits.
Priority queue
Higher tiers receive priority scheduling during periods of heavy demand.
Automated, abusive, or unusually high-volume activity that disrupts the service may be rate-limited or paused. If you have a genuine high-volume need, talk to us; we’d rather find a plan that fits than throttle good work.

Automated access
Some plans offer programmatic access to Lucen. When you use it:
Keep your keys and tokens secret: treat them like passwords.
Respect documented rate limits and back off gracefully on errors.
Don’t use automation to replicate the service, scrape other users’ content, or evade plan limits.
Identify your integration honestly where the interface asks you to.
The API Console is rolling out gradually. Until it’s available on your account, automated access is limited to documented, supported integrations only.

Enforcement
When we believe this policy has been broken, we aim for the lightest action that resolves the issue. Depending on severity and context, we may:
Reach out to understand what happened and ask for a change.
Limit, suspend, or remove specific content or features.
Pause or terminate an account for serious or repeated violations.
Cooperate with law enforcement where we’re legally required to.
If you believe an action was taken in error, you can appeal by contacting us; we’ll review it with a human.

Changes to this policy
As Lucen evolves, this policy will too. When we make material changes, we’ll update the date above and, for significant updates, notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use Lucen after a change takes effect means you accept the revised policy.
